Viacom's Filmed Entertainment division, mainly Paramount, accounted for 22 percent of the company's $12.5 billion in 2016 revenue. The studio was the last to publish a policy on tobacco depictions, in 2013. Yet the share of its PG-13 films with smoking was unchanged in 2014 and more than doubled in 2015. So far, in 2017, all four of Viacom's PG-13 films (sci-fi or horror) have featured smoking and the average number of tobacco incidents in its PG-13 films is more than double the industry average.
